What FrameStoreKit can and can’t do

Short answer: FrameStoreKit runs a full Shopify storefront on Framer: catalog sync, cart, Shopify checkout, customer accounts, Markets, subscriptions, filters and upsells. It doesn’t sync automatically yet, can’t run Shopify theme apps, and can’t do one-click upsells after payment.

Can’t (yet)
- Automatic sync: sync is one click, whenever you want
- One-click upsells after payment (Shopify limits them to theme stores)
- Run Shopify theme apps on your Framer site
- Bundles as one cart line (coming soon, via Shopify’s Bundles app)
- Customer file uploads on product options (planned)
- Several projects on one license (that’s the Enterprise plan)
- Shop Pay wallet on the Framer canvas preview (works on the published site)
The details
Sync
Catalog sync is one click and runs whenever you want. Prices, stock and the cart always come live from Shopify on the published site, so shoppers never see stale prices.
Shopify apps
Theme apps inject code into Shopify themes, so they can’t run on a Framer site. Apps that work in the Shopify admin (fulfillment, email, reviews data, subscriptions that create selling plans) keep working.
After-payment upsells
Shopify only allows one-click post-purchase offers on its own Online Store channel. FrameStoreKit offers upsells before checkout instead: quantity breaks and BOGO, paid product options, frequently bought together and cart upsells, and a rewards bar. Bundles as a single cart line are coming soon through Shopify’s Bundles app.
Licenses
Each license covers one published store. Agencies with many client stores can use the Enterprise plan or buy a license per client store and bill it to the client.
